What does participating with Bryles Research look like?

Bryles Research is a local marketing research company. We have been in business for 39 years and we help companies test their products so that they may understand consumer behavior toward their products. These test are conducted in many different way from phone interviewing, in-person interviewing, in-store interviewing, and more. We contact people from all varieties of different topics and products.
In order for us to conduct tests for companies we need consumers to come in and give their opinions. We obtain these numbers through individuals signing up on our website, filling out a database form in our office, through a referral, or provided by our client. For each test, a small number of people are invited to participate in a survey. You have been chosen because you fit certain criteria, so your answers represent a large segment of the population.

During a FOCUS GROUP, you’ll meet with 6-10 other people to discuss a product, service, or idea that interests you all. There will be a moderator to lead the discussion, and we are sure you will find this an interesting and fun experience. Naturally, you are always compensated for your time.
During an INTERVIEW, there will be you and an interviewer who will ask you questions, or you may be in a group setting answering questions on your own. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions – just your opinion. You may see an ad for a product, an idea for a new product or service, or be asked to taste or test a new product.

During a HOME USE TEST, you will pick up product from our offices to take home and use at home and log in to an online survey one or more times to answer questions about the product. This may be food to take home and prepare, make-up or hair care products to try out, or household products to try.

Respondent Participation Agreement

By agreeing to this participant agreement, you are confirming the following:

  • I will be honest and answer truthfully to the best of my ability.
  • I will participate in the group discussion or interview by engaging in conversation or answering questions.
  • I will arrive prior to the agreed appointment time or I understand that I may not be eligible to participate in the research project, and therefore, may not be compensated for participation.
  • I understand that I may become ineligible to participate in a study if my answers or usage changes prior to participating. I understand that my appointment may be cancelled and I will still be eligible to be called for other studies.
  • I have read and understand the privacy policy
  • I have provided Bryles Research with accurate demographic and household information.
  • I understand that Bryles may be video and/or audio taping the session I am attending and I will be informed the taping prior to the start of the session.
  • I understand Bryles Research may re-ask me questions that were used during my invitation phone call once I arrive for the study. If my answers or usage changes I understand that I may not be eligible to participate and may not be provided compensation.
  • If I register children under the age of 18, I confirm I am the child’s Parent or legal guardian and I authorize Bryles Research to collect and retain the information I submit regarding my children.

We do understand that circumstances may arise and you may need to cancel your appointment or attempt to reschedule into another available time. We ask that you call our local office as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule so that we can make the necessary adjustments. We have made a promise to our clients to deliver quality data from a specific number of people, and we have a certain time frame to complete that task. We count on you having agreed to participate to arrive on time and provide us with honest thoughtful answers. Your attendance is recorded and missed or excessive cancellation of appointments may prevent you from participating in future studies. We know that your time is valuable, so as a thank you for your cooperation and completed visit, you will receive compensation for your participation. Those who arrive late cannot be guaranteed the opportunity to participate and may not be provided compensation.

Mobile Phone Agreement

When you give us your mobile phone number, we have your permission to contact you at that number about studies conducted by Bryles Research. Your consent allows us to use artificial or prerecorded voice messages and automatic dialing technology for informational and account service calls, but not for telemarketing or sales calls. You may contact us any time to change these preferences.

Honorariums

Bryles Research uses an all digital format for honorariums given for project participation. Upon completion of a project, you will be emailed a digital token to redeem for the payment. This email will be sent within 2 business days of the day you complete the study.

Once you have received the digital token, you can redeem it as an electronic gift card or a physical gift card mailed to you by the card company.

No Show / Day Of Study Cancellation Policy:

Frequent no-shows or cancellations the day of your study will result in a temporary suspension from study participation.

  • On your first No-Show / Same-Day Cancellation within the past 60 days, you will be placed on probation.
  • On your second No-Show / Same-Day Cancellation within the past 60 days, you will receive a 30 day suspension.
  • On your third No-Show / Same-Day Cancellation within the past 90 days, you will receive a 90 day suspension.
  • On your fourth No-Show / Same-Day Cancellation within the past year, you will receive a 180 day suspension.
